A short plant history

A Little History on TRU Homes

TRU is a little different from the other builders on this page because it is a Clayton home line, not one single plant. Clayton started the TRU brand in 2012, and several plants build the homes.

One of those plants is TRU Halls in Knoxville. That plant opened in 1970 as Clayton's first homebuilding facility and became known as TRU Halls in 2015. The paperwork for the home will tell you which TRU plant actually built it.
